We would like to welcome all children to P2.

We have another exciting year ahead with lots to learn and lots to discover.

To encourage independence and enable your child to settle quickly back into the ways of school please ensure to let your child organise themselves once through the P2 doors.  Allow them to hang their coats and change their shoes when necessary.   Please ensure that all items of clothing, coats, jumpers, P.E. bags, lunchboxes etc are clearly labelled with your Childs name.

Parental support makes a huge difference to your Childs education.  We are lucky to have such supportive parents at Cavehill.  We would appreciate continued support and encouragement at home.  We would encourage you reinforce the learning taking place in the classroom.  Always encourage your child to do their best when completing homeworks.  Word books will be given out on a Monday please ensure that these words are repeatedly practised at home as this will help your child read with confidence.   Don’t forget those initial letter sounds, practice makes perfect.

A Few Reminders

  •  A book in the bag will be sent home on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Reading books will be sent home on Wednesday.
  • P.E will take place three times a week.
